CHLORINATED CONFERENCE
The Call for Abstracts for the Ninth International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds will be available at this website in June 2013; abstracts will be due September 15. Mark your calendar to submit an abstract and let your colleagues know about the opportunity to participate in the next Chlorinated Conference. Exhibit information will be available in early August.
The program will be organized similarly to that of the 2012 Chlorinated Conference, which was attended by more than 1,600 environmental professionals from 26 countries. The 67 breakout sessions and four panel discussions were organized under the following topics:
Twelve short courses were conducted, and 78 exhibit booths were provided by organizations that provide environmental assessment, remediation, and management services, information, and products.
Like previous Chlorinated Conferences, the 2014 Conference will be held at the Monterey Conference Center and the adjoining Marriott and Portola Hotels. This complex provides the extensive meeting space and large number of guest rooms needed for a program of this sort but in an integrated space, unlike a typical convention center with several separate hotels. Participants appreciate the networking opportunities afforded by this arrangement, and they look forward to spending a few days in the Fisherman’s Wharf/Cannery Row district and on the beautiful Monterey Bay coastline.
